The Christmas RTE Guide is as much an Irish tradition as being a little too merry at midnight mass. However with RTE Guide’s new positioning of “Grab Life by the Pages”, we decided to give this spot a more contemporary feel. And we were fortunate enough to be able to procure the services of Art Directors Club Young Guns winner, Shane Griffin, to help us do it.

Leo Burnett are proud to have won Irish Pride after a closely-fought pitch. Irish Pride is an innovative challenger brand that’s constantly bringing new and tasty offerings to the bread shelves. Naturally as an innovative challenger brand ourselves we’re looking forward to the opportunity to work with like-minded people. We’ll be having a Big Toast to celebrate. Look out for our new campaign for Irish Pride in the coming months.

That is why we were delighted to team up with our client Sharptext and Newstalk to launch “3 is the Number” an initiative where start-up business shared their success stories for the chance to win €3,000 and a brand new IBM server. Well done to ‘Bake My Cake’ who won the prize.

We welcome Keith Murray to the team as he is appointed the new managing director of Leo Burnett Dublin. Keith was previously head of client service and planning at Language and has over 20 years experience in agencies. Prior to joining Language, Murray worked with McConnells Advertising for three years. Welcome aboard Keith!

We are very pleased here to win-win the Win-Win pitch. Not simply because we get to make the pun, but also because we beat off strong competition from Chemistry and Ogilvy. Win-Win is a new loyalty scheme to be launched soon. Although describing Win-Win merely as a ‘new loyalty scheme’ may be like describing Apple’s App Store as ‘quite successful”.

Tom has worked for the likes of Y&R Sydney and Grey Melbourne, plus a few agencies that are a little closer to home including Arks and McConnells. 2012 saw the Leo Burnett global network win the largest number of Lions it has ever won at Cannes. Our previous record was an impressive 52 but 2012 saw the network win a total of 55 coveted Lions, a remarkable achievement that highlights our global creative prowess.
